House of the Day: 694 East 17th Street
This five-bedroom house at 694 East 17th Street in Ditmas Park just hit the market with an asking price of $1,249,000. It’s got plenty of old-school charm (parquet floors, stained glass, beamed ceilings) but we’re not loving the recently renovated kitchen. How ’bout you? 694 East 17th Street [Douglas Elliman] GMAP P*Shark

Lisitng says 2 baths — hmm.
Wow that bathroom is amazing. I think I would enjoy it as is, in all of it’s old fashioned, aqua-crazed glory but obviously lots of people won’t like it.
A floorplan is on the listing now.
The bad news is… there is no second bathroom.
The good news is… there is no second bathroom.
“Aquaman’s bathroom”
I think it’s actually GREEN LANTERN’S bathroom. Yeech!
“Have you ever, even once, actually liked somebody’s kitchen reno? Ever? ”
Only if it is has a six burner Viking 🙂
The kitchen is fine — totally functional space. But where is a floor plan? How coudl one deide whether it was even worth a look? Two photos of the living room? What about the other bathroom (is it even worse?), bedrooms, garden?
The kitchen looks great to me. Huge. Double ovens in the wall, this is a real cooking kitchen as opposed to an “art wall” kitchen. The house is roomy and nice. A million dollar house for sure. Maybe a million one.
Asking $1.25 Million to live in Ditmas Park.
ONE POINT TWO FIVE MILLION DOLLARS!!
Proof of how long we have to go before this market reaches equilibrium.
Never mind the kitchen, it’s Aquaman’s bathroom that frightens me.
