PS, 2.5 mil to buy. 1 mil to renovate. Corc forgot to put he reno price in the sft price. But it is interesting to see Corcoran quoting sft prices, isn’t it?
The Ditmas House is the pick of the litter. The Park Slope house is a mausoleum. Too deep and gloomy. Too many rooms. It actually may be too much of a good thing.
People who are bothered by living in relatively close proximity to other people (ie: adjacent rowhouses) should really re-examine their reasons for staying in the city.
Oh, but see in the street veiw of Maple St. that all the windows on the long side are in an alleyway. Well, the driveway, but a tall building right on the other side would block most direct light. Western exposure on that side .. . hmm, they’ve got some good (fill-in) lighting in those photos. Still, nice house. Don’t really know neighborhood though except passing thru.
“‘Detached’…either semi- or *CHORUS OF ANGELS SINGING* fully, is, to me, the most romantic word in Bklyn real estate.”
Same.
Maple St. house — I like.
“Detached”…either semi- or *CHORUS OF ANGELS SINGING* fully, is, to me, the most romantic word in Bklyn real estate. I know…blahblahblah…heating costs…blahblahblah…I am just so enamored with the idea of NOT sharing walls with other people. Makes that PS price slightly easier to swallow.
567 1st has been on the market since June 2008. It was originally listed at $3,489,000 with Prudential Elliman:

Subsequently reduced to $2,989,000 when it was a HOTD:

Corcoran has had it since February at current price of $2,595,000.
As for Kensington, steam up the place with spaghetti and/or underwear to remove the miles of wallpaper.
