The first signs of glass have appeared on the dome of the Jean Nouvel-designed pavilion that will house Jane’s Carousel on Pier One in Dumbo. The pavilion’s glass walls aren’t visible and, obviously, the carousel itself has yet to be installed. According to a Brooklyn Eagle article last week, the carousel’s opening is now supposed to happen sometime in the fall, rather than later this summer.

How is the glass in that dome supported? It almost looks like a flat dome. I have a feeling it is a petite tour de force.
