The targeted opening for the hotel coming to Degraw between 3rd and 4th avenues has been pushed back to “sometime in May at the earliest,” according to a spokesman for Choice Hotels International, which the property is a franchise of. The website for Union Hotel says it was supposed to open in mid-March, though more recently a Brooklyn Paper story said it was aiming for a mid- to late-April opening. Union is positioning itself as a boutique hotel, which theoretically sets it apart from nearby Gowanus hotels like Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Plans for the property were first revealed last January.

  1. Looks like a nice loft with good brick and large factory windows. Also looks like there are still some touches left on the exterior.

  2. It has to be a hot sheets hotel. I mean look at it. They may as well paint a mural on it that says: “cheap and vulgar accommodations”
