The last time we visited Urban Green at 142 North 6th Street we wondered what the heck had happened to it—once upon a time, units were selling and move-ins were expected in 2008—but now there’s something to report. The property sold for $15,250,000 in a transaction that just hit city records; the buyers have the same address as Read Property Group, the company that developed Clermont Greene, among other condos. A call to Read for more information, such as whether the building will become a rental, was not returned.

  1. “I thought for sure the car was a prop – and an apt metaphor for the project itself.”

    it wasn’t there tonight!!!

  2. WBer – there is usually a guy in the car around 6:30pm during the week.

There was some work going on here in the mornings a few months ago, but haven’t seen any in a while

  3. I’ve never actually seen anyone in the car (or even seen it idling) – is there an actual security guard, or is the security plan just to have the Taurus parked there?

And has there been any actual work at this place in the recent past, or has it just been sitting there for two-plus years (like the Taurus)??
